To create that ideal future for yourself you need five key components. According to Tony Robbins, there’s a balance needed. You must have focus. It’s important to be able to concentrate on what you want and how you can get there. It’s also important that you understand the language you use in your daily life and the way it can bring you to those goals. When affirmations are spoken it brings positive vibes back to you. Think of the law of attraction when you talk and the meaning it can give you. Don’t say anything that can contradict you or can interrupt your wishful thinking. Your physiology is also a key component of this. Try to think of your body’s response to your future, prepare it for your goal. Understand how it could affect you. And lastly, your state of mind. It’s definitely easier said than done. But your mindset is critical to your future. You should strive to have a growth mindset, open to new experiences and different ideas, perspectives, etc. You don’t want to be limited in any way. A big issue that brings unhappiness to others is their expectations. There’s a difference between expectations and goals. Goals are positive and can benefit you. However, some expectations can have a negative impact on you. For example, you set a goal to publish a book. But you set the expectation that once your book is out it’s going to be a huge success, you might even hold a book tour, etc. And let’s say that one day you do end up publishing your book, but it’s not exactly book tour material, you might be upset given that you created this image in your head and reality let you down. The goal was to publish a book, and you accomplished it, yet you’re not happy with the results. That’s why it’s important to shape your mind a certain way that can give you that happiness and satisfaction. Of course, you should always try to do your absolute best, but you can’t always be successful. Prepare for those moments in life.

Tip: Identity shapes your choices:
