Oprah is known for her dedication to meditation. She meditates every morning for 20 minutes before starting her day. She also likes to walk up and down her stairs for a half hour to get the body moving.
Tim Ferris wants to start his morning right by accomplishing one thing start away. He makes his bed. “Win the morning, win the day.”
Jennifer Anniston: She tries to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. In the morning she has hot water with lemon, later on, celery juice, and then lastly, black coffee. She splashes her face with ice water to help wake her up. She does not eat breakfast until her 16-hour intermittent fasting is over (so it really depends on the last time she ate the night before, or when she had dinner). She incorporates meditation into her routine (for at least ten minutes). She exercises daily too for a little more than a half-hour.
Brittany Snow starts off her morning with music. She has a ‘get ready for the day’ playlist and blasts it through the house with speakers. Music is a great way to start off the day, especially when it’s accompanied by dance moves.
David Karp has one thing excluded from his morning routine, and that is checking emails. As the CEO of Tumblr, he vowed that he would not check his emails until he has arrived at work. Checking your emails (or just being on your phone in general) is not the healthiest habit to have. It’s great that Karp is aware of that and avoids checking it every morning.
Mark Zuckerberg has one rule for his morning, and that is to eliminate decision-making. He does not want to waste energy with having choices and then having to choose which choice would best suit the day ahead of him. One of the things he does to avoid this problem is what he wears. Inside Zuckerberg’s closet, there are so many pairs of the same clothes. Apparently, he has 20 grey shirts.
