First, it’s important to know what it is. Identifying the different types of burnout. You can either have a slow burn or a quick burn. The quick burn leads to burnouts.

How to identify a quick burn:

  • You lose sight of your goals
  • You see all deadlines as fixed
  • You don’t rest. You see it as the enemy. A waste of time.
  • You’re always on the move. Not a second to lose. But with that, comes the limitations of your capacity to grow as a human.
  • You are not in control. Your deadlines are, your goals are. Your happiness could decrease because of this.

Personally, I have experienced a quick burn. I do not recommend it as it takes a while after your burnout to get back on track.

A slow burn looks more like this:

  • You plan ahead
  • You can identify which deadlines are fixed and which ones are more flexible.
  • You take breaks. Get rested. Gain more energy. Recharge.
  • You are in control. You are in the driver's seat. You are not limited. You are growing.
