Separate Your Identity From Your Behavior!

The New World New you challenge was set over the course of four days (with a bonus day). Here are some helpful notes.

“We’re being rewarded in public for the things that we consistently practice and refine in private” — Tony Robbins

The common phrase, ‘people can be identified by their behavior’ sparked conversation and it was argued that people are not only their behavior, there’s more to them. We can all get in a state of anger, depression, etc. But once you lock that definition into your identity, it holds power and controls you.

Writing Prompt:

  1. What is an extraordinary life to you? Define it:

“If you want your life to change, you’ve got to change. If you want life to get better, you’ve got to get better.” — Tony Robbins

*Disclaimer, this doesn’t have to be a huge change, you can make tiny improvements like incorporating reading, meditation, writing, and exercise into your day. The point is to just constantly improve yourself, and little by little you’ll feel more confidence and growth.

“When you change, everything else will change for you. Change your question, change your life.” — Tony Robbins

  • What do you want?
  • What’s the outcome you’re trying to achieve?
  • What’s the end goal/result?

Focus on your result. Clarity is power.

In short, you should have a clear and precise vision (the more details the better). Don’t listen to the negativity. Do not listen to the nay-slayers.

“Don’t concern yourself too much with how you’re going to achieve your goal, leave that completely to a power greater than yourself. All you have to know is where you are going.” — Tony Robbins
